My Girl Weekend.....

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter with your families. We had a wonderful weekend going to the beach with friends and ending up at a cute little bed and breakfast on Sunday with family. This was a cool spot because it was in the smallest southern town and it was the spot that they filmed "My Girl". So this year Easter was sort of nostalgic and romantic, without a bee in sight. ;)

Happy Birthday Sister!

I'm so lucky to have a sister that is also my best friend. She is an incredibly strong woman who manages to excell at everything she does like a shining star. She is a constant inspiration and role model to everyone around her. Thank you for being you and Happy Birthday! Love you lots Hals!

Easter Table

This table was created by Eddie Ross last year and I think it would be a perfect Easter table. I love the bright colors and the contrast of the pop of aqua. The gold dish with the jelly beans brings everything together. The modern print of the ikat fabric really updates the family heirloom china. Oh and another great trick is the napkin rings that he made out of really inexpensive earrings from target that he hot glued onto existing napkin rings. I hope you have a bright and Happy Easter!

Happy Lady Ga Ga Weekend!

My friend Tara and I are going to the Lady Ga Ga concert tonight.

Here is what I'm looking forward to.

2. Great Music
3. Some awesome dance moves to take home and practice
4. Some fantasy and glamour

I'm a runner now....

Ok so maybe my sister is the runner of the family. She was three months pregnant and ran a marathon. When most people are puking their guts out she is running and looking amazing. So I signed up for a Corporate 5K. The other designers in the office and I are going to run around downtown Orlando and drink beers afterwards and maybe some pizza or wings. So I'm not quite to marathon status. I am actually going to run though and the money is going to charity so I feel good about myself.

I also found some really cool City Running Tours that you can sign up for HERE . This is an awesome way to see a city up close and personal. So get out there and hit the pavement, even if you go out for beers afterwards :)

Bonne Fete

Happy 75th Birthday to my wonderful Grandmother! She is an amazing influence and inspiration in my life as I know she is to our entire family. Today she went to an art class, a wonderful lunch with friends, a lecture from a Lybian reporter, and a glamourous date with my handsome grandfather. I wish I could live half as glamorous a life that she does. Lots of Love. Happy Birthday! xoxo

Cheap Monday!!

This is a great little project that we just completed in our living room.

Steps & Ingredients

1. Pick out an accent paint color.
2. Tape of a section on your wall.
3. Paint inside that section.
4. Hang shelves on the stripe. (I got mine from Ikea)
5. Add a collection to showcase. (In our case it is sand from all over the world, from our travels and our friends travels. It is a great reminder everyday of our friends and our adventures.)
