Sorry I've been MIA. I'll try to get two posts to you today and catch up! Working seven days a week is starting to get to me. I hope you guys are doing great and enjoy this post.
This is a fun DIY. I saw these chandeliers on the Curry & Co ligting website and was thinking to myself that I could probably make that!
All you need is:
1. Driftwood (or any other kind of interesting wood you think might work, just make sure it's not to heavy)
2. A lighting kit from home depot or your local lighting store.
3. Metal wire to attach the wood together. ( I might also have some hot glue on hand)
4. Wire cutters.
If anyone trys this please send me some pics and I"ll post them. Here are some inspiration pictures.

Outdoor Movies
It's the last week of summer and I was thinking about a few fun things I would still love to do before it's Halloween and then Thanksgiving and you know the rest. It doesn't technically ever get cold enough outside NOT to have an outdoor movie in Florida, actually the fall is the perfect time. Otherwise you get swarmed with mosquito's and it's just too hot. So start up the outdoor movie party and celebrate the end of summer or the beginning of fall.
This screen was made using a few pieces of scrap wood and a king size sheet stretched and stapled to the frame. A projector can be hooked up to a computer and use some speakers and you are in business. If you start the movie about dusk it usually works out perfect. Make sure to pop some popcorn and bring the blankets, it's going to be a fun night.

Little Bit of Luxury...
For those of you who don't know...I also have a little gourmet cheese company called Che Bella Cheese. My husband and I sell gourmet cheese at local farmers markets on the weekends in the Orlando Area. If you are in town you have to stop by....
This is one of my favorite recipes:
1. Warm French Bread
2. Roaring 40's Australian Blue Cheese
3. Orange Blossom Honey
This will make any day instantly better.

Cheap Monday!!
This great Before and After was showcased on Design Sponge a few weeks ago. I was perusing my local Orlando Craigslist over the weekend and found it for sale. I think it's so great. Do any of you need an awesome vintage sofa for your sun porch? You better get it before I do.

Room of the Day.....
Yesterday's post with the acrylic headboard made me think about how much I loved these ghost chairs by Knoll. You can find them at Room Service in LA too.

Cheap Monday!!
Sorry it has taken me all day to post something for you. We went to a wedding in Iowa over the weekend and I'm recovering a little bit after a lot of laughing and dancing. The wedding was wonderful and well worth the lack of sleep.
So here is the rap literally..... Wrap the back of your bookcase in fabric, wallpaper, or just a contrasting paint than the rest of your piece to create wonderful drama and interest in the room. This is a great way to update a tired old bookcase. Here is a great DIY on how to wrap the back of your bookcase in fabric. I personally love this one pictured below with it's wonderful textured wallpaper. (I have this image as my screen saver at the moment on my computer at work).
P.S. A new Comment Button has arrived! I look forward to hearing your thoughts!!

Hello August....
Lets have a party...
I really love the color combination of this little party. The blush and gold is so beautiful it reminds me of a sunset. I think these are wonderful colors to slide into fall and still cling to summer. Enjoy your August and the end of your summer.
